Yep, any excuse to put three of my favourite things in one post and I’ll gladly take it: Wild Nothing, Zhang Ziyi and foreign martial arts flicks. I never said I was cool.
Pick up, er download, Wild Nothing aka Jack Tatum’s fantastic new LP Gemini here; a stand-out departure from the popular bedroom production sound of late. Tatum instead exudes carefully thought-out textures alongside full-bodied melodies and shyly romantic vocals. Together, it’s one part nostalgic, two parts delicious naivety, and all-around refreshingly good music.
