Two of my favourite artists collab on an elegantly haunting new track, one that can be found on the upcoming soundtrack for that ridiculous movie saga about vampires that sparkle and spew gag-inducing rubbish while degrading and minimizing the role of women, thereby harming the mental states and future relationships of thirteen-year-old girls everywhere.
Also on that soundtrack will be The Black Keys, The Dead Weather, Florence + The Machine, UNKLE, Fanfarlo, Band of Horses, insert other amazing band here, etc etc. I don’t understand it.
Bat for Lashes & Beck - Let’s Get Lost [320]
Regardless of what movie this is featured in, anything involving either of these artists goes automatically onto this blog. End of story.

Lord ‘av mercy, I’m BACK BABY. After an excruciating 1 week + without access to my computer due to an MIA power cord, I am finally back in the game. Weeeeee!
I’m sure you all missed me terribly. (What do you mean you didn’t even notice?!)

I’m not upset about missing Fake Blood & Boy 8-Bit tonight. Nope. *Sigh*
Well, in honour of them actually making it out to Canada during their much-anticipated North American tour (tonight, er last night, aka RIGHT THIS SECOND here in Calgary, Alberta), I can see no better fit than to post this recent remix by Canadian boys Jokers Of The Scene. This remix is dark, suspenseful and, oh, you know, just seven and a half minutes long!
Also it sounds a little less like killer bees. A little. That works for me. I’m down with that.

Sensational Japanese artist Que Houko. His art exhibits are like none other: not only does he illuminate his fluorescent paints with black lights—he does it all live.
